CETA Offers Members HAZMAT Training at Discounted Rates
If you ship hazardous materials you have a need to train!
In August of 2005 the President signed the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Act which increased the cost for non compliance with The Department of Transportation (DOT) HAZMAT regulations. The minimum for failing to provide initial or recurrent training to HAZMAT employees in the four (4) required areas of general awareness, function-specific, safety, and security awareness training has increased to $450.00 per employee.
CETA in conjunction with SJC Compliance Education has created a computer based training program to help your company comply with the training regulations.
Here’s what CETA member John Purswell with Alklean Industries has to say about theprogram. “I had a young man who was a 2nd year college student studying computer science try to work on the US DOT’s CD program and we could never get it to operate properly. We wasted so much time attempting to uses it that I finally just put it away and told my staff we would send our people to your training class.
With this new training program there are no difficult to operate CD’s or downloads…no sending your employees off site; all training is done in the convenience of your office and your time schedule.
The cost for this training program is $135.00 per employee and will include:
